Horror & Wine Book Signing at Valerie Hill Vineyard & Winery
September 14, 2025 by David Musser
Fellow horror enthusiasts and constant readers, I'm absolutely thrilled to share some spine-tingling news with you! Okay, that could be a little cheesy, but this October, I'm returning to my roots for a very special book signing event at Valerie Hill Vineyard & Winery in Stephens City, Virginia - the very town where my fascination with horror first took hold.
Where Horror Meets History
There's something beautifully fitting about hosting a horror book signing at Valerie Hill Vineyard & Winery. This family-owned winery sits in a Federal-style brick home dating back to 1807 - nearly as old as some of the Gothic tales that first inspired my love for the genre. The historic ambiance, with its shadows and stories from centuries past, provides the perfect backdrop for discussing the dark worlds I've created in my novels.
A Personal Journey Full Circle
Stephens City holds a special place in my heart. It's where I first discovered my love for supernatural storytelling through "Dark Shadows" and classic monster movies. Those early influences, combined with the rich family history, helped shape the horror author I am today. I started as an Indie Author, and now publish with Next Chapter Publishing. For me, it has always been about telling wonderful stories. So I'm coming home to share my work with you all. Please come out to say hello, sip a little wine, and listen to good music.
What to Expect
There are some wonderful things in store. I'll be signing copies of my complete horror collection, including:
- "The Bloody List: Letters from a Serial Killer" - my latest psychological thriller
- "The Devil's Well" - a chilling Lovecraftian tale
- The Keep In The Light Series - the supernatural horror trilogy that launched my career
- "Living Death: Zombie Apocalypse" and other standalone horror novels
Whether you're family, friends, or fans, or just saw this post and said.. "Hey, I like Horror, and David Musser sounds cool." This event is a perfect opportunity to discover stories that blend psychological terror with supernatural elements. I'll be sharing behind-the-scenes insights about my writing process, discussing the inspirations behind each book, and of course, enjoying some of Valerie Hill's award-winning Virginia wines.
Mark Your Calendars: The book signing is scheduled for October 25, 2025, from 4-6 P.M. at Valerie Hill Vineyard & Winery. It's in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. The address is 1687 Marlboro Road, Stephens City, VA 22655.
A Toast to Terror and Tunes
There's something wonderful about pairing fine wine with tales of terror, but I'm told that Nate Hadley will be there as well, and what better way to enjoy oneself as All Hallows Eve approaches but Music, Stories, Wine, and maybe, if we ask nicely, a tour.
So discuss the craft of horror writing, the inspiration behind my darkest tales, for those family and friends. Have you found yourself in any of my stories, and why not share a few spine-chilling stories?
This homecoming event represents more than just a book signing - it's a celebration of the journey from a young horror fan in Stephens City to a published author with readers around the world. I can't wait to see familiar faces and meet new readers who share my passion for the darker side of storytelling.
I write love stories; they just happen to take place in horror-filled worlds.
